Opening Reception | Every Day Acts of Art

Alluvion Arts presents a celebration of public art, guerrilla art and creative placemaking to kick off the inaugural TC Mural Festival.

The exhibition entitled Every Day Acts of Art features artwork from the six muralists, fresh wheatpaste in the parking garage, ephemeral art installations and abandoned art. Attendees can participate in several interactive art installations and are encouraged to create their own acts of art during the reception.

Additionally, Everyday Acts of Art brings past exhibiting artists back to Commongrounds who were invited to leave intimate interventions — drawings, sculptures, mini murals and more — woven into the shared spaces of Commongrounds. Look for these works tucked around corners, above doorframes, or underfoot, encouraging visitors to slow down and discover art where they least expect it. By embedding creativity into the rhythms of daily life, this exhibition honors how public art can shape, uplift, and connect our community.

The TC Mural Festival is scheduled for September 12-17, 2025 and will take place in the North Boardman Lake District area. Alluvion Arts will feature small works from the muralists on the second floor of Commongrounds, as well as interactive art installations. On view until September 30th.
