A panel discussion exploring the origins of the We Will Not Whisper exhibition takes place on March 31 from 7 to 8:30 PM at The Alluvion.
Moderated by Jessica Kooiman Parker, the conversation features Margo Burian, Sarah Bearup-Neal, and Carrie Betlyn-Eder, with additional exhibiting artists participating from the audience.
The exhibition is installed on the second floor of Commongrounds (414 E. 8th Street, Traverse City).
We Will Not Whisper showcases the work of 21 women artists responding to the implications of Project 2025 through painting, fiber, video, and mixed media.
Many of these artists are known for work in other genres and were pushed to explore new visual languages to express urgent, personal reactions to current events.
Panelists will discuss the exhibition’s origins and reflect on the role of visual art in engaging with pressing contemporary issues.
