DAVID WARD
David Ward - Drummer, producer, emcee, and bandleader. David Ward is based in Ypsilanti, Michigan. His main projects include drumming and co-leading local Funk band Sabbatical Bob, and drumming in a progressive rnb band based in Grand Rapids, MI, “Earth Radio”.
A transplant from Portland, Oregon, David attended the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre, and Dance as a jazz performance major and has become a central force in the Greater Michigan music scene. Drawing on a wide variety of styles and influences, David’s BAM central sound and stark ability to innovate not only as a drummer but as a musician and composer make him an incredible collaborator and a foundational pillar to the HARMOLODICS.
BENJAMIN GREEN
Benjamin Green - Composer, performer, improviser, arranger, innovator, audio engineer; Benjamin is a Detroit-based sonic explorer always searching for new sounds and exploring the frontier of electro-acoustic music.
Growing up in south Detroit, Benjamin was exposed to Detroit Legends such as Marcus Belgrave, Wendell Harrison, Rob Pipho, Marion Hayden, and many other jazz greats, which all inspired him to pursue music. Benjamin studied under Benny Green, Andrew Bishop, Robert Hurst, and Marion Hayden at the University of Michigan, and post-graduation in 2020, has gone on to play with Detroit Master Leonard King.
BENJAMIN WOOD
Benjamin Wood - Bassist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Ben Wood is from Nashville, Tennessee, and currently living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. First and foremost, a bass player, Ben has played funk, jazz, rock, and blues with various bands across Michigan.
Having received a jazz studies degree at the University of Michigan, Ben has studied under Robert Hurst, Dennis Wilson, and many other incredible faculty members. Ben approaches the bass from a wide variety of influences, and is currently playing across Michigan and working on a debut EP to be released in the coming months.
