LAURA RAIN AND THE CAESARS

Laura Rain and the Caesars are real deal Detroit soul to the utmost. They are six time Detroit Music Award winners led by the unstoppable vocalist and songwriter Laura Rain. The band is in the realm similar to Daptone Records or Big Crown Records, but with a style truly their own, and that is always evolving. Coming out of the Motor City with a strong, creative sound inspired by Detroit: a tough, hard-working American city that is reinventing itself as a vibrant incubator of ideas and creation.

Rain is a product of her surroundings, a classically trained hard-driving singer who uses the power and finesse of her voice to inspire and energize the soul. Along with her band, Laura Rain and the Caesars have released five albums and nine singles with a potent blend of funky dance music, vintage soul, blues and r&b worthy of Detroit's rich history of musical innovators. Over the past decade, she has maintained a steady performance schedule touring the U.S. Canada, and Europe.

The Soul of Detroit features a distinguished collection of her original compositions capturing the essence of the Motor City sound. Laura Rain delivers a message of hope, joy and celebration, bringing with her authenticity and excitement. Her repertoire extends well beyond traditional Motown, presenting an upbeat mix of genres and original songs that has defined popular music in the modern era.
