OCT 13 SHIP YARD PERFORMERS:
MI Sane Asylum - Northern Michigan
Rooted in Northern Michigan, MI Sane Asylum—born from the ethos of My Sanity Asylum—was built on a simple, powerful belief: music is the ultimate medium to bring people together. For the band, playing isn't just a performance; it's a sanctuary. Whether taking the stage or gathering for rehearsal, making music is their way to feel good, stay connected, and create a sense of grounding in a world that often feels a little insane.
Sonically, the band channels the deep soul of the blues, the drive of classic rock, and the raw energy of ’90s alternative. Built on heavy grooves and good vibrations, MI Sane Asylum is deeply passionate about writing and performing their own original material. They blend these creative originals with high-energy takes on crowd-favorite covers, crafting a dynamic set that balances artistic expression with a crowd-pleasing, engaged atmosphere.
The band’s driving sound is powered by a tight five-piece lineup: Ken on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Petar on lead guitar and vocals, Tim on rhythm guitar, Levi on vocals and holding down the bass, and Marco driving the groove on drums.
Feeling like the world has lost its collective mind? It’s time to check yourself into MI Sane Asylum.
