MARCH 3 SHIP YARD PERFORMERS:
AGNES SU WITH OLIVER AND JOE WILSON
Based in Traverse City, Agnes Su is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and aspiring Folklorist who lives in the forests of northern Michigan. She began her career in music at the age of five by studying and performing with the Grand Rapids Strings Academy.
Agnes Su has since worked with Hawks and Owls String Band, recorded with Major Murphy, booked a handful of local shows, and organized a successful fundraiser for the non-profit MusiCares.
She and her backing bands have performed at Wheatland Music Festival, The Spirit of the Woods Folk Festival, and at venues such as the Alluvion, Old Art Building, and Interlochen Arts Academy. She regularly hosts the Folk Aire program on the local college radio station, WNMC. Most of all, Agnes is a gal with a country western heart.
For Shipyard at The Alluvion, Agnes will be performing with Oliver and Joe Wilson.
NEUTRAL ON RICE
Neutral on Rice is a pop-punk band that first came to life at a cafeteria table at Interlochen Arts Academy. What started as a normal lunch conversation turned into rehearsals, late-night writing sessions, and a first cover: naturally it was Mr. Brightside.
With members from around the world and a mix of backgrounds and influences, the band has one thing in common: the shared love and language of music.
Though Neutral on Rice has not yet performed as a full band until now, each member brings years of experience on stage and in the studio.
