Experience Interlochen’s gifted faculty, students, and guests in Traverse City as the Interlochen in Town Series comes to The Alluvion. This performance features Instructor of Guitar Matthew Cochran, D.M.

Hailed for his “commanding stage presence” (Soundboard), Cochran performs a diverse repertoire including early music, popular music, and new music on both electric and acoustic guitar. In-demand as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician, Cochran has appeared at concert series and festivals and with orchestras throughout the U.S., Europe, and Canada. Cochran is frequently featured on National Public Radio broadcasts—including Interlochen Public Radio’s Kids Commute—and has taught master classes and lectures at conservatories and arts high schools across the globe. Passionate about developing the guitar’s repertoire, Cochran has collaborated with many exciting new compositional voices and is an active proponent of art music for the electric guitar.
