HAMILTON DE HOLANDA TRIO

Hamilton de Holanda, along with the talented Salomão Soares and Thiago "Big" Rabello, forms a captivating musical trio. With an original and powerful sound, they explore new musical paths without hesitation. Their impeccable technique, artistic sensitivity, and infectious passion transform their performances into thrilling spectacles.

The Hamilton de Holanda Trio highlights the mastery and creativity of three exceptional musicians. Hamilton de Holanda, a multi-award-winning improviser, composer, and mandolinist, leads the trio with his 10-string mandolin, an instrument he reinvented. Salomão Soares brings sophistication and contemporaneity with complex harmonies and improvisations, using keyboards and the Moog synthesizer to add unique textures. Thiago "Big" Rabello, with his pop flair, groovy drums, infectious energy, rhythmic precision, and dynamic and versatile performance, completes the trio.

HAMILTON DE HOLANDA

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Hamilton De Holanda moved to Brasília with his family as a boy. He started playing the bandolin at 5 and appeared at his first performance at six. With his brother Fernando César he formed the group Dois de Ouro. Throughout his career he has collaborated with many other significant artists such as Yamandu Costa, Mike Marshall and Joel Nascimento. He has received several Latin Grammys. He has taught at the Raphael Rabello Choro academy. He plays a custom made 10 string Bandolim.

He is a multi-award-winning musician, winner of several Latin Grammys, the Brazilian Music Award, Echo Jazz, Choc, and countless nominations.

The popular support and his innate desire to give back inspired him to promote benefit concerts for major tragedies and social projects in Brazil, such as ABRACE, which provides social assistance to children and adolescents with cancer and blood diseases. Hamilton also supports music programs for people from economically disadvantaged areas to reinforce his image and help young people find inspiration and employment.

SALOMÃO SOARES

Born and raised in Cruz do Espírito Santo, in the interior of Paraíba, and currently living in São Paulo, Salomão is a pianist, arranger, and composer. He has emerged as one of the great revelations of the new generation of Brazilian instrumentalists and has shared the stage with notable names in Brazilian music such as Hermeto Pascoal, Toninho Horta, Hamilton de Holanda, Leny Andrade, Filó Machado, Renato Braz, Mônica Salmaso, Itiberê Zwarg, Arismar do Espírito Santo, Toninho Ferragutti (with whom he recorded a duo album), among many others.

He has participated in several festivals and tours around the world, including recently in Spain and Portugal alongside singer and songwriter Vanessa Moreno, in Uruguay, and throughout Brazil, such as at SESC Jazz—one of the most renowned jazz festivals in Latin America—with his trio and also as a special guest of Hermeto Pascoal.

THIAGO “BIG” RABELLO

Thiago "Big" Rabello, with his pop flair, groovy drums, infectious energy, rhythmic precision, and dynamic and versatile performance, completes the trio. Winner of four Latin Grammys, eight Professional Music Awards, and a Brazilian Music Award as a musician and audio engineer, he moves fluidly between a wide variety of musical genres, influences, and references.
